Interested in Learning Online?

CARE is continually developing online courses to be run completely digitally which you can enroll upon and complete from the comfort of your own home! These courses are free and funded by Staffordshire Community Learning.

Current online and face to face courses open for enrollment:

⭐️  Gardening, Woodcraft and Recycling (17/08/2023 – 23/11/2023)

This excellent seasonal, countryside themed course begins on Thursday 8th August at our lovely project in Penkridge. The course looks at “Going Green”, recycling and how we can make a difference ourselves. The course has a focus on well-being, personal development, problem solving and learning new practical skills. On the course you will get involved in team activities and get to take part in practical exercises, in the past we have built raised beds, water features and even bottle greenhouses!

The course runs weekly on a Thursday, completely free and transport is provided for those who need it from two pick up locations (Stafford & Cannock).

⭐️  Countryside Christmas Crafts (Early Nov – December)

This is a very popular festive craft course that we run every year inspiring lots of ideas to bring nature into your home at Christmas. We will make lovely Christmas crafts, enjoy festive ideas from around the world and improve your own well-being at the same time!

The course will run weekly, dates to be confirmed but please let us know early if you are interested.

Online Courses With CARE!

Alongside our face to face courses we also run a great range of online courses throughout the year. All the course’s are free and for Staffordshire residents aged 19+ who are experiencing or recovering from mental ill health or people who have a learning difficulty or unemployed and want to support their wellbeing. Please see a list of the courses below:

⭐️  Art For Wellbeing – Journeys Outdoor With Art (16/08/23 – 11/10/23)

Join us on a virtual adventure around Staffordshire, watching us explore different locations to find inspiration for art all while improving your wellbeing and learning new skills. Brilliant for beginners and improvers alike.

We use traditional art mediums such as watercolours to capture scenery, pencils to sketch urban art and inks to print leafs. But excitingly we also explore alternative art such as taking rubbings, creating collages from leaflets and even using mud to paint with!!

The sessions run weekly on a Wednesday starting on the 16th of August at 10am running until the 11th of October. The learning hours required to complete the course are flexible and can be covered to suit you during that week, ideal if you work and want to complete the sessions later in the evening. Some of the weeks will be optional face to face visits where we meet as a group on location, dates tbc.
