CARE is continually developing online courses to be run completely digitally which you can enroll upon and complete from the comfort of your own home! These courses are free and funded by Staffordshire Community Learning.

Create Garden Art For A Community Wellbeing Sensory Garden (Mondays 09/02 – 16/03)
This course will help you to design and create beautiful garden art for a wellbeing sensory garden that others in the community can access to support their own wellbeing. You will be able to work independently and as part of a team, gain more confidence and support your own wellbeing. We will discuss your long-term aim and help you set some personal goals for this course.
All course resources will be provided by CARE with opportunities to forage for natural materials too on our site. This is a face to face learning course supported with an online padlet learning blog.
The courses run weekly, 10:30am – 14:30pm – completely free and transport is provided for those who need it from a few pick up locations (Stafford, Hednesford, Cannock & Penkridge)
Develop Digital Skills To Design A Community Wellbeing Sensory Garden (Thursdays 29/01 – 19/03)
This course will help you to create a detailed design for a community wellbeing sensory garden. You will be able to work as part of a team, gain more confidence using digital skills and learn how to stay safe online. We will discuss your long term aims and help you set personal goals, support your local community, develop employability and volunteering skills.
Develop your planning, organisational and team working skills. We will discuss your personal goals and how to communicate with others, supporting your independence and next step towards volunteering or work. Get to spend time outdoors, enjoy the wellbeing benefits of spending time outside in nature and with our animals.

Alongside our face to face courses we also run a great range of online courses throughout the year. All the course’s are free and for Staffordshire residents aged 19+ who are experiencing or recovering from mental ill health or people who have a learning difficulty or unemployed and want to support their wellbeing. Online Art For Wellbeing – Progress Your Sketching And Drawing (Wednesdays 04/02 – 11/03)
Explore your creativity with this lovely sketching and drawing course which helps you progress your skills, adding colour and texture to your artwork. We will introduce you to sketching materials, skills and techniques so that you can produce finished sketches to share with your family and friends. We will introduce strategies to support your wellbeing too. It’s a fabulous gentle way to start the new year. No prior sessions / experience required to take part in this course.
On this course you will have the chance to learn new techniques, improve your confidence, be part of a community, create your own art journal, talk and receive feedback from a local professional artist, attend 3 live zoom sessions and receive a free resource pack!
The sessions run weekly via our private Facebook page and online learning blog. The learning hours required to complete the course are flexible and can be covered to suit you during that week, ideal if you work and want to complete the sessions later in the evening.
