CARE Active and On Track; a community wellbeing initiative supporting the most vulnerable within the community – young adults, adults and older adults with a background of mental health issues, learning difficulties and physical health issues – strengthening their wellbeing, tenacity and resilience from across Staffordshire, especially South Staffs and Cannock Chase.
At the centre of the programme has been a strong partnership between C.A.R.E and London Northwestern Railway, both local trusted resources, and enabler providing real life value to the Community. The project has worked towards achieving short term and long term goals – to ‘prosper, enjoy life to the full, have access to work and jobs, to lead an improved quality of life’.
The mural is a proud showcase of the mental health provision in South Staffordshire at CARE for all of the community.
Its great that we have been able to work alongside the team at London Northwest Rail and put together a great showcase of the fantastic work done within the community especially given the importance of the railway in the local area; to work, visiting family, going on holiday or accessing volunteering opportunities such as those at CARE… the list goes on! Big thanks to everyone who contributed to the mural and next time you’re at the station, please take a second to take a look.
If you would like support with your wellbeing but are unsure where to start, please contact CARE. We have a fantastic range of opportunities such as fully funded community learning courses found on our website which can help support your mental health and wellbeing.
